Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield was a brand name under which The Enfield Cycle Company Limited of Redditch, Worcestershire sold motorcycles, bicycles, lawnmowers and stationary engines which they had manufactured. The first Royal Enfield motorcycle was built in 1901.

In the year 1955, Enfield Cycle Company collaborated with Madras Motors in India to form Enfield of India, located in Chennai, and started congregating the 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle in Madras. At first, machines were assembled from components which were imported from England. Since 1957, Enfield of India acquired the machines necessary to build components in India, and by 1962 all the components were made in India.

Royal Enfiled Classic 350

The Classic 350 is perhaps Royal Enfield’s best selling motorcycle and that’s a no-brainer considering the motorcycle’s vintage design and Royal Enfield’s well-known legacy. Recently, Royal Enfield launched the ‘Redditch’ series of the Classic which has further enhanced the desirability quotient.

The combination of timeless looks and the modern engine makes a strong case among the current crop of run-of-the-mill motorcycles.

DESERT STORM

The Classic Desert Storm comes to you with a “sand” paint scheme reminiscent of the war era, a time when Royal Enfield motorcycles proved their capabilities and battle worthiness by impeccable service to soldiers in the harsh conditions of the desert.

Donning a younger look with styling cues one would expect only from a genuine Royal Enfield: single cylinder air-cooled pushrod engine, 1950s style nacelle and toolboxes, traditional paint scheme and buffed engine components, this motorcycle is all set to bring you the pleasures of modern motorcycling while reflecting the aura of eternal classic styling.

At the back, the Desert Storm features a short silencer for that 1950’s look. Royal Enfield, however, says it is available as an optional accessory and for off-road use only.

CLASSIC CHROME

The Royal Enfield Classic Chrome is based on the Classic 500 with a rather generous dose of chrome on it. Like the Classic 500, the new Classic Chrome retains the quintessential British styling of the 1950s: simple, harmonious, well proportioned.

The Chrome sports a seat with a leather finish and adds to the visual appeal of the motorcycle. Built of old-fashioned metal, in clean elegant lines of Chrome combined with a rich paint finish, the design of the Royal Enfield Classic Chrome is a tribute to the retro look of post war British motorcycles.

Standard features on this bike include a single piece analogue speedometer, electric start but no fuel gauge. What you do get instead are warning lights for various things like battery and low fuel. The Classic Chrome is available in two colours black and maroon both dark shades that will hide well behind the chrome parts.
